LEARNING MENTORS

Department Information:
The Learning Mentors at St. Paul's Way Community School provide educational and emotional support for students identified in consultation with Heads of Year and the Inclusion Co-ordinator.

Learning Mentors have an integral role in raising attainment and achievement by empowering students to aspire to their best potential. The Mentors strive to complement and assist existing teaching and pastoral staff in the School. They are skilled and familiar with aspects of child psychology, educational coaching, anger management and counselling skills. The aim of the Learning Mentor is to help the students to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside School. This is approached on a one-to-one basis, or in small groups.

If students need help, the Learning Mentors have a confidential help line for students who may suffer emotional, social and educational problems. We can be contacted on the following email adresses: ead@stpaulsway.org, akt@stpaulsway.org, row@stpaulsway.org, mrk@stpaulsway.org, sim@stpaulsway.org and hsn@stpaulsway.org.
